J'utilise les pilotes ATI open source dans Ubuntu 10.10 parce que je ne peux pas dormir avec les propriétaires (la machine entre en veille, mais ne reprendra pas). Cependant, avec les pilotes ATI open source, je ne peux pas activer les effets de bureau. Lorsque je vais dans Paramètres-> Apparence-> Effets visuels et que je clique sur Normal, une boîte de dialogue apparaît qui dit "Rechercher les pilotes disponibles ...". L'écran scintille comme s'il essayait d'activer les effets de bureau, mais en fin de compte, il signale "Les effets de bureau n'ont pas pu être activés".
Notez que https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver mentionne que drm
pourrait appear
dans dmesg, mais ce n'est pas le cas.

vous verrez que nos cartes 5XXX ne sont pas encore officiellement supportées. Cependant, la 2D est prise en charge, comme expliqué dans le post suivant:

Notez qu'il mentionne que l'accélération matérielle était en cours d'élaboration.
