Comment réparer aucun son dans Ubuntu 12.04 avec l'environnement de bureau MATE?
Après la mise à jour la plus récente depuis le 02/03/2014, je ne peux plus écouter de musique sur mon ordinateur Ubuntu 12.04 ni aucun autre son d'une application. J'ai pu effectuer le test suivant à partir de la ligne de commande

Je suis capable de lire des vidéos Web sans plantage ni blocage, mais aucun son ne peut être entendu à partir d'une application Web. Je peux entendre les tambours de bongo au démarrage.
J'ai téléchargé les fichiers MP3 suivants et les ai enregistrés dans mon dossier de musique. J'ai utilisé la commande de terminal suivante ci-dessous pour lire le fichier mp3.

J'étais incapable d'entendre l'audio de xmms2 en jouant à Frozen.mp3.
J'ai ouvert VLC à partir du terminal et lu le fichier mp3 à partir de l'interface graphique. Vous trouverez ci-dessous les commentaires du terminal de VLC lors de la lecture du fichier mp3.

Tentative de lecture de fichier musical à l'aide de Rhythmbox et erreur suivante: "Impossible de démarrer la lecture. Un problème est survenu sans qu'une erreur ne soit définie. Il s'agit d'un bogue dans Rhythmbox ou GStreamer."
Vous trouverez ci-dessous la commande F6 permettant de sélectionner la sortie audio générique d’alsamixer. Le terminal alsamixer affiché ci-dessus correspond au paramètre par défaut, qui semble être identique à celui nommé HDA ATI SB. La commande alsamixer F6 proposait trois options: "- (par défaut)", "0 HDA ATI SB" ou "1 HD-Audio Generic", aucune d’elles ne produisant de son à partir des fichiers musicaux.

L'image ci-dessous représente l'onglet des options de sélection des paramètres de son avec d'autres menus ouverts pour fournir des informations supplémentaires. 
Mon audio a fonctionné après avoir utilisé la commande suivante:
Sudo apt-get autoremove pulseaudio
Après la mise à jour et le redémarrage de l'ordinateur, l'audio a fonctionné. Gayan de Hectic Geek - Les logiciels d'application et critiques de système d'exploitation ont publié un article dans le texte suivant: Comment faire pour supprimer PulseAudio et utiliser ALSA sous Ubuntu Linux? Gayan explique en détail la nature du problème. Gayan explique que Pulseaudio gère l’audio du logiciel pour Alsa et Alsa gère l’audio pour le matériel. Pulseaudio rencontrera des problèmes lors de la transmission des données audio à Alsa une fois dans une lune bleue. Retirer simplement Pulseaudio et laisser Alsamixer prendre en charge l’élimination de tous les mauvais traitements audio.
