Une mise à jour de routine de mon système, le 3 juin 2013, semble empêcher mon démarrage d'Ubuntu 12.04 de démarrer. J'ai essayé d'installer les pilotes binaires Nvidia, car cela m'a déjà posé problème, mais il semble avoir une autre source.
Voici mon boot.log de/var/log. Le processus se bloque réellement dans lequel je suis obligé de redémarrer. J'imagine qu'il est bloqué quelque part après l'échec des opérations VMware. Je ne sais pas pourquoi il faut lancer VMware lors du démarrage.

J'ai eu un problème similaire ... On m'a dit de vérifier les autorisations du fichier caché nommé .Xauthority placé dans/home/votre_nom_utilisateur.
Si les autorisations appartiennent à la racine, vous ne pouvez pas vous connecter à votre système et vous êtes bloqué pendant la session de démarrage.
Utilisez la commande chown pour modifier les autorisations afin d’être le propriétaire de Xauthority et vous devez pouvoir vous connecter.
