J'ai essayé de configurer conky pour surveiller certaines statistiques de base (utilisation du processeur/mémoire, utilisation du disque dur, etc.) à partir de mon serveur domestique.
Après beaucoup de discussions aujourd'hui, j'ai réussi à faire fonctionner le processus en me connectant via
screen ssh -X
puis en cours d'exécution
conky -c /path/to/config
Le processus conky démarre ensuite sur mon ordinateur portable et persiste même lorsque je ferme la session ssh.
Cependant, j'essaie d'obtenir cela pour démarrer à partir d'un script sur mon ordinateur portable afin que je puisse l'exécuter automatiquement au démarrage.
J'ai mis en place un utilisateur qui se connecte via une clé sans mot de passe pour essayer de tout faire fonctionner (finalement, je vise à essayer de le faire simplement demander un mot de passe lorsque je me connecte et le processus commence) mais je viens de ne peut pas le faire fonctionner.
Le script que j'utilise est
#/bin/bash
screen ssh -X myconkyuser@myserverip "conky -c /path/to/config"
mais il refuse simplement d'afficher conky.
Même en entrant manuellement
screen ssh -X myconkyuser@myserverip "conky -c /path/to/config"
à partir d'un terminal ne le fera pas.
Si je fais
screen ssh -X -vv myconkyuser@myserverip "conky -c /path/to/config"
Je peux voir que la connexion ssh a lieu et que conky démarre, elle n'est tout simplement pas transmise correctement au serveur x de mon ordinateur portable.
J'ai aussi essayé de mettre le conky -c /path/to/config
comme son propre script sur le serveur et en utilisant
screen ssh -X myconkyuser@myserverip "sh /path/to/conkystartupscript"
mais le résultat est le même.
Je vais attacher la sortie de -vv
pour voir si cela peut faire la lumière, je suppose que le problème pourrait être que la session se ferme avant que le processus conky ne soit réellement affiché, mais j'ai essayé d'ajouter un pause 10
en dessous de la ligne conky en vain.

Il y a quelques erreurs de syntaxe dans le fichier conky (il est très ancien mais il fait le travail que je veux) mais je ne pense pas qu'ils causent le problème comme si je ssh -X
dans le serveur puis lancez conky tout fonctionne comme vous le souhaitez.
(NB la sortie de code ci-dessus est SANS utiliser d'écran car l'utilisation d'écran efface le terminal. Il semble cependant que cela passe essentiellement par le même processus)
D'accord, je semble avoir résolu cela. Il semble que la connexion ait été interrompue avant que le processus x puisse être transféré. J'ai également constaté que la commande "screen" ne fonctionnerait pas à partir d'un script exécuté depuis l'extérieur d'un terminal.
Mon nouveau script est
