J'utilise Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Ce matin, lorsque j'ai exécuté Sudo apt-get update, j'ai rencontré l'erreur suivante:

W: The repository 'http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu lucid Release' does not have a Release file. E: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.91.26 80] E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

J'ai vérifié Internet pour une réponse. Bien que j'ai trouvé quelques messages similaires, aucune des solutions ne fonctionne pour moi. Une des solutions intéressantes que j'ai essayée était:

La solution la plus simple consiste à effectuer les deux étapes suivantes:

1- Sauvegardez votre liste de sources -> Sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.backup

2- Ouvrez le fichier sources "/etc/apt/sources.list" Renommez toutes les instances de us.archive ou archive dans http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ en

http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/

Faites de même pour le http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/saucy-security/universe/binary-i386/Packages

3- Exécutez Sudo apt-get update après avoir effectué la procédure ci-dessus.

Devinez quoi… n'a pas fonctionné. Enfait, il a jeté plus d'erreurs:

Vous avez commis quelques erreurs graves ici.

Tout d'abord, vous exécutez 16.04. Cela signifie que vous ne pouvez pas remplacer aveuglément le miroir d'archive normal par old-releases. C’est la raison pour laquelle vous obtenez actuellement les erreurs que vous obtenez au sujet des pensions Xenial.

Deuxièmement, vous essayez toujours de puiser dans le référentiel Lucid. Cela ne vous aidera pas, car une bonne partie des éléments du référentiel Lucid ne fonctionnera pas dans Xenial ou aura été retirée du dépôt pour diverses raisons ou remplacée par des versions mises à jour. Et, les instructions que vous avez suivies pour les anciennes versions uniquement s'appliquent à la ligne de référentiel Lucid que vous aviez dans vos configurations.

Voici comment résoudre les problèmes que vous rencontrez.

Parcourez /etc/apt/sources.list et commencez par remplacer toutes les entrées old-releases.ubuntu.com par votre miroir d'origine, us.archive.ubuntu.com.
Recherchez les lignes qui référencent lucid et commentez-les ou utilisez old-releases.ubuntu.com niquement pour ce référentiel.

Si vous ne savez pas quelle entrée dans /etc/apt/sources.list ou /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* contient cette entrée 'lucid', exécutez cette commande à partir de /etc/apt/: grep -r -i lucid /etc/apt/; il identifiera les fichiers contenant le mot 'lucid'
Sudo apt-get update et des commandes similaires devraient maintenant fonctionner sans problème.

Je recommanderais vivement de commenter les dépôts Lucid, car ils sont également en fin de vie, et à moins que vous ayez vraiment besoin , vous ne devriez pas être en les maintenant activés.
