J'ai construit un nouveau noyau (4.4.0-64, sur Ubuntu 16.04).
Maintenant, je veux toujours démarrer à partir du noyau 4.4.0-64
, mais peu importe ce que j'ai défini dans /etc/default/grub
de GRUB_DEFAULT
sur - le système d'exploitation démarre toujours avec l'ancien noyau.

Je ne suis pas un expert en la matière, mais j'ai trouvé des informations similaires que vous pourriez utiliser pour résoudre votre problème.
1) courir dans le terminal: grep submenu /boot/grub/grub.cfg
2) trouvez vos noyaux dans la liste et faites attention à leur commande. La commande commence à "0". Donc, le premier noyau de la liste est "0", le second est "1" etc.
3) puis exécutez Sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
et accédez à la ligne: GRUB_DEFAULT=
et en utilisant les informations de l'étape 2, entrez GRUB_DEFAULT=0
(pour le noyau 0 dans la liste) ou GRUB_DEFAULT=1
(pour le noyau 1 dans la liste) etc (ou quel que soit le numéro d’ordre du noyau que vous voulez, selon le résultat de grep submenu /boot/grub/grub.cfg
).
4) Sudo update-grub
5) redémarrer.
Cela a-t-il résolu votre problème?
Une solution de contournement consiste à supprimer le noyau qui chevauche la dernière mise à jour du noyau.
Pour lister les noyaux disponibles:
dpkg-query -l | awk '/linux-image-*/ {print $2}'
Pour supprimer un noyau:
Sudo apt-get --purge remove linux-[replace reference]
Dans le cas spécifique:
Sudo apt-get --purge remove linux-image-4.4.0-040400-generic
Après la mise à jour du grub
Sudo update-grub
