Optimiser Apache pour WP utilisation

Question

Salutations,

J'ai un site WP avec plus de 150 000 pages vues par jour.

Il fonctionne sur un processeur Intel Core i5 760 à 2,80 GHz, avec Centos et 4 Go de RAM.

Le problème est que WP consomme trop RAM et après un certain temps, le serveur est surchargé et RAM s'épuise. J'ai essayé beaucoup de tweks Apache mais rien ne semble fonctionner. Après avoir redémarré, le site Apache fonctionnera sans problème, mais il sera surchargé après une heure ou deux.

Est-ce que certains d'entre vous ont un conseil qui pourrait m'aider?

BTW, j'utilise WP-Super Cache.

Je voudrais d'abord jeter un oeil à vos plugins. CLASSIFICATION DES CRITIQUES n'a pas été mis à jour depuis plus de 3 ans et ressemble à son poids lourd sur la base de données. J'ai vu des fichiers sql bruts avec des liaisons internes qui semblent gênantes.

Du côté du serveur, vous devez implémenter une mise en cache des objets. APC est le standard de facto et vous donnera les meilleurs résultats.

Une fois que vous avez installé APC, passez à W3 TOTAL CACHE ou LE BACKEND DU CACHE D'OBJETS APC DE JAQUITH pour en tirer le meilleur parti.

Vos paramètres httpd.conf sont corrects. D'après l'apparence de votre fichier my.cnf, vous ne tirez pas parti de la mise en cache des requêtes MySQL, de la mise en cache des threads ou du contrôle des tailles de mémoire tampon.

Vous pouvez utiliser un script de paramétrage pour vous aider dans votre configuration my.cnf. J'aime utiliser MYSQLTUNER et AMORCE DE RÉGLAGE est également très bon.

Mysqltuner émettra des suggestions et vous indiquera ce qu’il faut ajuster en fonction de l’utilisation de votre base de données.

Sur mon serveur avec 12G Ram, mes paramètres ressemblent à ceci. (Juste un exemple, n'utilisez pas ces paramètres !!!)

Comme d'autres l'ont mentionné, l'exécution de Nginx réduira considérablement la charge de votre serveur si vous êtes prêt à configurer, etc. J'ai écrit un tutoriel sur la procédure d'installation et de configuration de APACHE AVEC NGINX EN TANT QUE PROXY INVERSE

Jetez un coup d'oeil ici: Conseils de performances pour une large base d'utilisateurs - c'est un ensemble de choses utiles à regarder qui vont au-delà seulement Apache.

Lorsque vous cherchez à optimiser les performances, il est assez important d'examiner l'infrastructure dans son ensemble pour déterminer les problèmes éventuels. Par exemple, l'un de mes sites a éventuellement détecté un problème qui ressemblait initialement à un problème Apache (manque de mémoire sous Apache). load) à une requête SQL lente qui a été corrigée en ajoutant un index supplémentaire à la table des commentaires.

Installez également APC ou un autre cache de code d'opération PHP.

Il est fort probable que votre paramètre MaxClients soit trop élevé. Si les 200 processus sont actifs et s’ils font en moyenne environ 20 Mo par processus, vos 4 Go seront épuisés, sans tenir compte de MySQL ni de tous les autres processus. Réduisez le paramètre MaxCients et continuez à rechercher où se situe votre problème.

Vous pouvez vérifier la quantité de mémoire utilisée par chaque processus Apache avec ceci:

ps -ylC httpd --sort:rss

(remplacez Apache2 pour httpd si vous êtes sur Ubuntu)

Travailler avec les configurations prefork et Worker est une tâche délicate. Modifier certaines valeurs vous aidera certainement à augmenter les performances et à réduire la RAM utilisation. N'oubliez pas également qu'Apache réserve de la RAM sont à court de RAM. Consultez cet article pour obtenir les meilleurs conseils d’optimisation.

Comparez Nginx et Apache et faites un choix:

Je viens de passer d'Apache à Nginx et le travail dure environ 10 minutes:

télécharger/installer Nginx (wget/yum install/apt-get/...)
changez le fichier de configuration de nginx pour qu'il pointe vers votre répertoire Web (voir examples http://kbeezie.com/view/nginx-configuration-examples/ )
démarrer nginx

terminé.

Je suis également allé à php-fpm dans le même aller aussi environ 20 minutes de travail:

télécharger php
configurez avec les libs nécessaires (par exemple suhosin) (ou modifiez le code c avec vos propres messages de blague) (n'oubliez pas de supprimer les extensions spécifiques à Apache et n'oubliez pas d'inclure zlib pour installer/décompresser les plugins wp à partir de wp)
configurer/faire php
changer le fichier de configuration nginx pour inclure les appels php-fpm
démarrez php-fpm et redémarrez nginx

terminé

(ajout de fichiers de démarrage /etc/init.d si nécessaire)

Je n'ai pas fait de tests de performance moi-même, je viens de suivre aveuglément le "reste"

Hors de portée pour cette réponse: Je prévois également d'abandonner MySQL et d'utiliser plutôt MariaDB (GPL).
