Exécuter init.d script produit "start-stop-daemon: non trouvé"

J'essaie de commencer monit en utilisant:

/etc/init.d/monit start

Je reçois ensuite l'erreur:

[....] Starting daemon monitor: monit/etc/init.d/monit: 124: /etc/init.d/monit: start-stop-daemon: not found
failed!

Sur Debian 7, j'ai eu une erreur similaire: daemon: not found

Et j'ai pu le réparer avec:

apt-get install daemon
5
kqw

heureux, vous pourriez le réparer avec apt-get install deamon

dans mon cas, il s'agissait d'un lien manquant de: /bin/busybox à /sbin/start-stop-daemon

cd /sbin
ln -s ../bin/busybox start-stop-daemon

cela le corrigé.
