Pourquoi le pilote recommandé est-il différent du dernier pilote pris en charge?

J'allais pas à pas lire ce tutoriel: http://www.binarytides.com/install-nvidia-drivers-ubuntu-14-04/ mais après avoir installé nvidia-current et ouvert le Kubuntu Gestionnaire de pilotes, la version recommandée à installer est 340. Mais sur le site nvidia, j’ai trouvé 346 comme bon.

À la fin, il y a "Configuration de nvidia-settings (346.35 ..."), il s'agit donc du pilote configuré et prêt à être exécuté. Lorsque vous actualisez le gestionnaire de pilotes Kubuntu, il reste 340 et plus.

De plus, exécuter glxinfo me donne une erreur. J'ai essayé cette procédure de trou tellement de fois. Purge de tous les pilotes nvidia puis installation via le référentiel ou téléchargement direct du pilote nvidia. Toujours quelque chose s'est mal passé. Je ne suis pas sûr que même si je redémarre mon PC, ça va marcher ou pas. Une fois que le x ne démarre pas ou que la résolution est d'environ 600 x 600 (lorsque vous essayez d'installer les pilotes à partir du site nvidia et que vous exécutez nvidia-xconfig). Pourquoi est-ce si difficile. Donc, après le code ci-dessus, voici le résultat de glxgears:

Après avoir redémarré, j'avais un écran noir avec un seul message qui clignotait trois fois:

Je ne savais pas comment résoudre ce problème, alors j'ai répété:

Sudo apt-get purge nvidia* Sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

et a réussi à se rendre au bureau

Comme vous avez déjà installé le PPA xorg-edgers, lorsque vous exécutez la commande suivante:

apt-cache search nvidia | grep --ignore-case binary | grep version

vous devriez recevoir:

Pour installer le dernier pilote, exécutez la commande suivante:

Sudo apt-get install nvidia-355.06

(n'utilisez pas nvidia-current!) et redémarrez et testez

Si cela ne résout pas votre problème, remontez d’un niveau (340) et si cela ne fonctionne pas, un autre et jusqu’à ce que cela fonctionne. Si rien ne fonctionne, désactivez la puce NVidia dans votre BIOS, attendez quelques semaines et essayez à nouveau avec le dernier pilote (il existe actuellement quelques problèmes avec NVidia).

La solution pour moi était d’effacer tout ce qui concernait nvidia, de supprimer tous les référentiels tels que ppa: xorg-edgers/ppa que j’avais ajouté, et de télécharger et installer les pilotes nvidia du site nvidia. N'est-ce pas la réponse exacte de ma question, mais soyez libre de voter si vous le souhaitez.
