Problème lié au mode de faible graphisme Nvidia après la mise à niveau de 15.10 à 16.04

Question

Après la mise à niveau de 15h10 à 16h04, mon pilote propriétaire Nvidia ne fonctionne plus du tout. Le message "Le système fonctionne en mode faible graphique" apparaît chaque fois que je démarre mon ordinateur portable avec Nvidia comme pilote principal principal.

J'avais essayé de passer la moitié de la journée à googler et à trouver des solutions, mais aucune d’entre elles ne fonctionnait pour moi. J'avais essayé:

Désactiver le démarrage sécurisé (après ceci conseiller )
Réinstaller Nvidia v364 (basé sur this conseiller)
Réinstaller Xorg

Toutes les solutions ci-dessus qui fonctionnent pour les autres ne fonctionnent tout simplement pas pour moi, le problème "Le système fonctionne en mode graphique faible" continue à apparaître, peu importe ce que j'ai fait pour résoudre ce problème.

Je l'ai fait!! C'était un problème avec le pilote lui-même!

Problème: Ma carte (NVIDIA GTX980M) ne fonctionne pas bien avec le nouveau pilote propriétaire NVIDIA Linux. Solution: Utilisez l'ancien pilote qui supporte ma carte graphique.

Fondamentalement, après avoir tapi sur Internet pendant un moment, certaines personnes ont dit que je pourrais peut-être essayer d'utiliser stable nvidia-352 au lieu de nouveaux pilotes.

Cependant, en regardant apt-cache search nvidia-352, j'ai découvert que nvidia-352 n'est qu'un pilote de transition pour nvidia-361 = pilote graphique.

Cependant, sur la base de mon test précédent, nvidia-361 à la plus récente (nvidia-370 au moment de la rédaction) est la source de mon problème.

J'ai donc besoin de télécharger l'exact nvidia-352 au lieu de la transition nvidia-361.

Si vous rencontrez le même problème que le mien, vous trouverez ci-dessous les étapes à suivre pour le résoudre.

Étapes:

Désinstallez tous vos pilotes NVIDIA problématiques actuels.

Ubuntu utilise apt-get pour installer les packages et leurs dépendances. apt-get utilise dpkg mais résoudra également les dépendances. C'est pourquoi il est déconseillé d'installer des packages à l'aide de dpkg.

Pour que cela fonctionne, vous devez activer les référentiels multivers, restreints et univers.

De plus, vous devriez consulter le site Web nvidia pour voir quelle version du pilote vous devez utiliser et vous n'avez pas besoin de télécharger le pilote car vous utiliserez apt-get.

Avant de commencer, il serait sage d'effectuer une mise à niveau complète. Je recommande une mise à niveau dist. Cliquez ici pour plus d'informations.

Ce qui suit serait un correctif suggéré pour nvidia-352:
