Je suis sur une nouvelle installation 16.10 et j'essaye d'installer Docker dessus. J'ai ajouté le PPA, mis à jour apt et lancé:
Sudo apt install docker-engine
Ça fonctionne parfaitement.
Maintenant, lorsque je redémarre, mon Wifi n'est pas détecté! Il semble que l'interface de menu fixe crée un conflit avec mon interface réseau existante. Il est même en train de le retirer de ifconfig.

Je travaille sur un ordinateur portable qui n'a pas de connexion Ethernet, seulement le Wifi.
Le PPA ajouté dans sources.list est:
deb https://apt.dockerproject.org/repo ubuntu-xenial main
La recherche indique que cela est probablement lié à ce bogue. Si c'est le cas, une solution de contournement consisterait à modifier /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf
afin qu'il soit

plugins=ifupdown,keyfile
[ifupdown]
managed=false
[keyfile]
unmanaged-devices=interface-name:docker0
ce qui obligera NetworkManager à ignorer les adaptateurs de menu fixe.
