npm update ne fait rien

Lorsque j'exécute ce code dans mon dossier d'application où se trouve le package.json:

npm update ou npm update --save-dev il ne fait rien.

Mais quand je le fais, npm outdated affiche de nombreux paquets obsolètes.

Alors, comment puis-je mettre à jour tous les paquets?

La sortie npm update --dd dit pourquoi à la fin:

...not updating @angular/common because it's currently at the maximum version that matches its specified semver range

Regardez ce paquet spécifique, angular/common. Vous l'avez paramétré sur 2.0.0, ce qui signifie que npm recherchera toujours cette version spécifique. Si vous souhaitez que le package soit mis à jour, vous devez utiliser une plage semver. Vous pouvez voir une liste complète des semver plages ici , mais les plus couramment utilisées sont probablement ~ et ^.

~ signifie que la version mineure sera mise à jour. Donc, si vous avez la version ~1.2.1, il passera à un 1.2.x, mais jamais à 1.3.0.

^ met à jour les versions majeure et mineure, donc si vous avez ^1.2.1, il sera mis à jour vers toute version de 1.x.x, mais jamais vers 2.0.0.

Si npm outdated affiche des packages obsolètes en dehors de la plage semver (par exemple, une mise à jour majeure), npm update ne peut pas être utilisé pour mettre à jour le package.

Pour installer la dernière version, spécifiez explicitement le package à l'aide de

npm install [-g] <package>

Une autre chose à vérifier qui pourrait affecter la façon dont vous installez les paquetages et finalement causer ce problème est votre fichier .npmrc. Vérifiez pour voir s'il y a une ligne comme:

save-exact=true

Si c'est le cas, supprimez-le ou définissez-le sur false. Lorsqu'il est défini sur true, vous obtenez le comportement suivant: 

Les dépendances enregistrées dans package.json à l’aide de --save, --save-dev ou --save-optional seront configurées avec une version exacte au lieu de l’opérateur par défaut de npm.
