Echec du chargement du module nvidia Ubuntu 11.10 (il n’existe aucun module)

Question

J'ai un ASUS Ul30vt avec une carte graphique hybride Intel/NVIDIA. Je peux obtenir un bon chargement du pilote Intel, mais je me bats pour obtenir le chargement de la carte graphique nvidia. J'ai essayé différentes solutions, notamment l'utilisation du pilote des pilotes restreints d'ubuntu et du site Web nvidia. Je vais cependant décrire ma situation actuelle et voir si cela est suffisant. Faites-moi savoir si plus en besoin.

Actuellement quand je cours

jockey-text --list | grep nvidia

il retourne le suivant

Cette configuration échoue actuellement (si je le modifie pour utiliser Screen0 avec le pilote intel, je peux très bien accéder à lightdm). Lorsque Screen1/nvidia est sélectionné, l'erreur suivante s'affiche.

J'ai essayé de taper "nvidia_current" dans le fichier xorg.conf où il recherche le nom du périphérique, mais il échoue et indique qu'il ne trouve pas le module "nvidiacurrent".

En gros, je ne suis pas sûr de ce que je dois mettre dans le fichier xorg.conf pour pointer vers le module nvidia_current que mon système sait y être.

Une vieille question, mais toujours sans réponse - espérons que cela aidera quelqu'un.

Assurez-vous que les en-têtes de votre noyau sont installés - sans celui-ci, vous ne pourrez pas construire le module nvidia.

Sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`

Puis, lancez

Sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-current

Après tout, lancez

Sudo nvidia-xconfig

ou restaurez votre xorg.conf d'origine.

Mettre à jour les en-têtes du noyau a fait l'affaire! J'avais essayé d'exécuter Sudo nvidia-xconfig sans succès, mais une nouvelle installation de nvidia et la mise à jour des en-têtes ont corrigé la génération du fichier. Voir les commandes pour une nouvelle mise à jour ci-dessous:

Sudo apt-get --purge remove nvdia-*  

Sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

Essayez de régénérer le fichier xorg.conf pour vérifier s’il résout vos problèmes.
Déplacez d’abord le fichier actuel sur xorg.conf.old puis exécutez Sudo nvidia-xconfig pour le régénérer.

Je vous recommande également de lancer (avant ce qui précède) Sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-current pour vous assurer que le pilote est bien configuré.

Cet ordinateur portable (Asus UL30VT) n'est pas un modèle Optimus bien qu'il ait des graphiques hybrides. IIRC, il a un multiplexeur matériel qui peut être contrôlé via un logiciel (BIOS?).

Essayer:

1. Supprimez le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf, le réglage doit être détecté automatiquement
2. Réinstallez nvidia-current: Sudo apt-get install --reinstall nvidia-current
3. Redémarrez dans votre BIOS et recherchez l'option permettant de forcer l'utilisation d'une carte intégrée ou discrète.
4. Démarrer Ubuntu
5. Vérifiez si la carte nvidia est utilisée (le fichier journal est à /var/log/Xorg.0.log)
