Comment afficher les messages d'une catégorie spécifique à l'aide d'une requête personnalisée dans WordPress?

Bonjour, je souhaite afficher une catégorie spécifique à partir d'une requête personnalisée dans WordPress. Mon code fonctionne bien et il obtient les 4 derniers messages, mais ce que je veux maintenant, c'est récupérer une catégorie spécifique. Mon code est ci-dessous merci:

global $wpdb;

$posts = $wpdb->get_results('SELECT ID, post_title AS title, post_excerpt AS excerpt FROM '.$wpdb->posts.' WHERE post_type = "post" AND post_status = "publish" ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 4');

Tout va bien, la toute première suggestion de @Ammu a également fonctionné. J'avais besoin de changer les valeurs du tableau pour correspondre à l'instruction, voici le code:
