Quand je fais une telle demande - tout va bien
@offers = Offer.with_state(:confirmed).
includes(:destination, :cruise_line, :ship).
paginate(per_page: 10, page: params[:page]).decorate
Mais je veux sélectionner uniquement les offres qui appartiennent aux agences active
(colonne state
du tableau agencies
), alors j'essaie de faire comme ceci:
@offers = Offer.with_state(:confirmed).
includes(:destination, :cruise_line, :ship).
joins(:agency).
where(agency: {state: 'active'}).
paginate(per_page: 10, page: params[:page]).decorate
Après avoir fait cela, j'obtiens une erreur PG::UndefinedTable: ERROR: missing FROM-clause entry for table "agency"
. Quel est le problème avec mon code?

La seule chose que vous avez ajoutée est une clause where
-. On dirait que c'est problématique:
where(agency: {state: 'active'})
... et produit une condition incorrecte car la clé de hachage dans ce cas devrait signifier un nom de table. Vous devriez probablement avoir ceci:
where(agencies: {state: 'active'})
En voyant cela attirer beaucoup d'attention, je pense que je devrais également suggérer une manière différente de faire la même chose, un peu plus composable:
merge( Agency.where(state: 'active') )
Comment est-ce mieux? Il ne fait aucune hypothèse sur le nom de table du modèle (pas que cela soit important la plupart du temps) et vous permet d'utiliser étendues:
# Inside Agency
scope :active, -> { where(state: 'active') }
# Somewhere else
merge(Agency.active)
