Comment supprimer complètement Xubuntu et installer Ubuntu (y compris l'écran de démarrage, etc.)
J'avais Xubuntu 14.04 beta 1 installé. Maintenant, j'ai installé le paquet ubuntu-desktop mais je vois qu'il reste des icônes d'application Xubuntu, un écran de connexion, un thème, un écran de démarrage, etc.
Comment les supprimer complètement et configurer les éléments par défaut d'Ubuntu?
Sudo apt-get remove xubuntu-desktop et Sudo apt-get autoremove feront-ils?

Instruction générale: Pour une version différente d'Ubuntu ou une distribution basée sur Ubuntu, exécutez cette commande. Si le gestionnaire de paquets ne parvient pas à localiser l'un des paquets, supprimez-les de la commande et exécutez-la à nouveau.
Pour ce faire, la meilleure solution consiste à ouvrir /var/log/apt/history.log (ou history.log.[n].gz) et à rechercher la commande que vous avez exécutée pour installer xubuntu-desktop. Il y a une liste de paquets qui ont été spécifiquement installés à cause de cette commande. Vous pouvez exécuter Sudo apt-get remove avec les packages ici, puis Sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop pour restaurer votre système à son état antérieur.
Voici une suggestion pour faciliter un peu la solution proposée par Fabian:
Sur une console chrome ou firefox, mettez le texte complet des paquets
var u = 'HERE'.match(/[\w-.]+(?=:)/g)
puis
u.join(' ')
vous avez les paquets à mettre dans votre commande "apt-get remove".
Essayez d'utiliser tasksel. Vous devriez pouvoir changer de configuration.
Sudo apt-get install tasksel
Sudo tasksel
Décochez Xubuntu desktop et cochez Ubuntu desktop.
J'ai pu supprimer le bureau xubuntu avec:
$ Sudo apt-get remove xubuntu-desktop
$ Sudo apt-get autoremove
Pour restaurer l’écran de chargement par défaut d’Ubuntu:
$ Sudo apt-get remove plymouth-theme-xubuntu*
Pour restaurer la page d'accueil par défaut Ubuntu (écran de connexion):
$ Sudo vi /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
et définissez le contenu de ce fichier (il n’existera peut-être pas déjà) sur:
